All BAPA members voluntarily accept and agree to adhere to the BAPA Code of Practice. Independent inspectors regularly visit BAPA members to ensure compliance. The Code of Practice outlines key features reflecting nationally recognized standards for activity provision and advice on broader business management aspects. These standards undergo continuous review and amendment.

The BAPA Code of Practice is available to members only

The BAPA Code of Practice lays down standards for:

  • Health and safety
  • Marketing and customer service
  • Safety management
  • Employee management
  • Safeguarding
  • Activity equipment
  • Compliance
  • Environment and sustainability
  • Facility management
  • Learning and development
  • Accommodation
  • Catering
  • Transport and vehicles

This valuable resource helps our members stay current with best practices in all aspects of activity provision and delivery. It provides information about the inspection and accreditation schemes members must follow.
